Proposal Title: “Between Direct Translation and Indirect Translation: A Comparative Study of the Thai translation of the Korean Novel Please Look After Mom”

Résumé

Shin Kyung – sook’s Please Look After Mom, the Korean novel was first introduced in Thailand in 2012 as an indirect translation version from the English translation. After that, a direct translation version from the Korean original was published in March 2020. Considering the specificity of literary translation, this study aims to compare the Thai direct and indirect translation versions of Please Look After Mom in terms of faithfulness and perfection in translation.
